Hi, I’m Nerie, the maker behind Bluetracesph.
Bluetracesph is a small artisan studio where I create handmade journals, notebook inserts, and writing tools designed to bring people back to the simple act of writing.
What began as a personal creative practice slowly grew into a home studio dedicated to crafting thoughtful tools for writers, journal keepers, and paper lovers.
The Studio
Bluetracesph centers around a simple idea: writing tools should invite people to slow down and return to the page.
Each journal and notebook insert begins with carefully chosen materials — paper, thread, and leather — prepared and assembled by hand in small batches. Rather than producing large quantities, the studio focuses on small runs where every piece can be crafted with care and attention.
The goal is not just to create notebooks, but to create tools that become part of someone’s daily writing ritual.

The Craft
Bookbinding is both a technical skill and a quiet craft.
Pages are cut, folded, and sewn using traditional stitching methods that allow journals to open comfortably and last through years of writing.
Many Bluetracesph notebooks use fountain-pen-friendly paper, allowing ink to show its character while keeping the writing experience smooth and enjoyable.
Working slowly and intentionally is part of the process.
Creative Work
While bookbinding is at the heart of Bluetracesph, creativity in the studio extends beyond journals.
Painting, illustration, and design experiments often influence the textures, colors, and ideas that appear in the studio’s work.
Some of these explorations occasionally appear as studio editions or limited creative projects.
The Maker
Before Bluetracesph became a studio, I spent many years focused on raising my family while quietly exploring creative work at home.
I’m naturally introverted and enjoy long stretches of focused work — stitching pages, experimenting with materials, or painting in solitude.
Over time, those quiet creative hours slowly turned into Bluetracesph.
The studio grew from a simple desire to make things by hand and to share tools that help others reconnect with writing.
